We believe that the patent laws are the best means by which an innovator,
such as SMP Logic Systems, may be fairly and adequately protected. We are a highly motivated research and development
company. Our ideas, methods, and products require countless man hours, intellectual capital, and financial resources
to come to fruition. SMP Logic Systems believes however, that this research will allow more persons all over the world
to have greater access to higher quality life-saving drugs at lower costs.
Accordingly, SMP Logic Systems relies heavily on the ability to license
our intellectual property to finance our research and development. The revenue from licensing our intellectual property
is used to fund further research in pharmaceutical manufacturing and pioneer research in newly developed areas, such a nanotechnologies.

Having our patents and other intellectual property challenged in courts not only impugns SMP Logic
Systems reputation as a leading scientific research entity it forces us to divert dollars away from R&D and into litigation
costs. Delays in funding result in lost research capabilities, lost opportunities to develop additional research capabilities,
lost opportunities to accelerate existing projects or begin new projects. Once those opportunities have passed, they
are often lost for good, as another entity takes advantage of the opportunity. Delays in research are likely to result
in important knowledge not being developed at all or SMP Logic Systems being pushed out of valuable fields as other research
groups achieve critical intellectual property positions. Thus, the harm to SMP Logic Systems of lost opportunities is
irreparable. Generally, this harm cannot be regained with future money because the opportunity that was lost already
belongs to someone else.

Any controversy or
